Synopsis: This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice. The Department of Veterans Affairs Integrated Service Network (VISN) 2, Canandaigua, NY VA Medical Center, 400 Fort Hill Road, Canandaigua, NY 14424 anticipates issuing a RFP o/A November 10, 2021 to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary for design-build construction services to furnish, install, and remove the following: Design to include demolition of the existing CHWS/R pipe/valves/fittings as required from the existing chiller building 137 to each air handler unit located in the attic of both buildings. The AE team shall confirm pump specifications at the new chiller plant, and if required, include properly sized booster pumps. The design shall include means to connect a mobile chiller system to include, but not limited to: CHWS/R connections Electrical connections: transformer, manual transfer switch, fused disconnect. AE team shall confirm all sizing requirements VAMC will provide mobile chiller specifications once available. Construction will involve, at a minimum, installation of new underground CHWS/R piping and required booster pumps for both buildings 7 and 8. Work also includes installation of drain valves at all low points on the piping routed inside the buildings as well as 3-way valves at each AHU (4 total). Davidm.Esmay@va.gov The Government anticipates issuing a RFP posting in www.beta.sam.gov o/a November 10, 2021. The magnitude of the project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. This is not a solicitation announcement and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. In your email, please include a capability statement or show that your company is capable of performing this project. There is a 15% self-performance requirement. Similarly situated firms are acceptable. You must show how you will meet this requirement. Set-Asides: This procurement is anticipated to be 100% set-aside for a SDVOSB. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 236220 with a size limitation of $36.5M. Market research will determine the level of set-asides, if any. Please state the socio-economic category your company falls into. EG: SDVOSB, VOSB, SB, Large Business, etc The Government will not be responsible for any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this announcement.
