A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested. The National Institute of Health (NIH), Clinical Center (CC),Department of Laboratory Medicine Department (DLM) intends to solicit a quote and enter into firm-fixed price for preventive maintenance with Biomerieux, Inc for instrumentation that is already onsite. The instruments are as follows: NucliSENS easyMAG, S/N 02458 (SAP SYS # 522008) bioMérieux EMAG, S/N IM03147 (SAP SYS # 526978) Biomerieux Inc Inc is the sole proprietor of the Items.. There is no other known company that can provide the breadth and depth of knowledge of the unique instrumentation to properly service the device. Service engineer support is with factory-certified trainers who are kept up to date on all system updates and global customer feedback. There is no other known service organization that can replicate this level of training and expertise on the device. The NIH intends to award a one (1) year fixed price purchase order to BD Bio Science for twelve (12) month base period. plus two Option period. This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the acquisition of commercial items prescribed in FAR Part 12, in conjunction with the policies and procedures for the competition requirements of Part 6. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Comments to this announcement, referencing this posting number, may be submitted to the CC, Office of Purchasing and Contracts, prior to the closing date, November 26, 2021 at 11:00 EST specified in this announcement, electronically to the attention of Priscilla Abalos, Contract Specialist, Priscilla.abalos@nih.gov by the due date and time marked in this notice.
