Description:
This acquisition will be negotiated on a SOLE SOURCE basis with Fincantieri Marine Systems North America, per FAR 6.302-1 utilizing FAR Part 15. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals prior to the offer due date, which will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this action based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Award of firm-fixed price SUPPLY indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type contract is anticipated. This acquisition is to provide preventative and corrective maintenance support, associated supplies, consumables, repair parts, and replacement parts, for the Isotta Fraschini (IF) ID3SS6V-AM engines on board multiple Mine Countermeasure-1 (MCM-1) Class vessels. The vessels homeports are located in Sasebo, Japan and Manama, Bahrain. The duration of the proposed contract will be one base year plus four (4) option years. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be posted to the SAM.GOV website on or about 24 November 2021, with quotes due on or about 24 December 2021. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from the SAM.GOV website and for frequently monitoring the site for any amendments. The Government is not responsible for any inability of the offeror to access the posted documents. No telephone or fax requests will be accepted, and no hard-copy solicitation/amendment will be mailed or faxed. Electronic submission of quotes via SAM.GOV is not available at this time. Facsimile proposals/quotes will not be accepted. Description of complete supplies and services required will be posted at the time solicitation is posted
