The US Army Contracting Command, on behalf of the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (JPEO-CBRND) is seeking system integration vendors that have the capability to manage, team with a manufacture, and or manufacture the TATPE protective garments and integrating equipment. This includes: Manufacturing the TATPE garment and the TATPE Pack Load Carriage using government furnished patterns, Purchasing/obtaining ancillary equipment that integrates with the garment Creating TATPE equipment “kits” with all system components for delivery to United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) units. (Table 1: TATPE Kitting with Component). The government will assign all equipment component part numbers. The government anticipates that its requirement would be for delivery of up to 1000 TATPE systems over a five-year period. The TATPE effort results from a need identified by Special Operations Forces for a tactical chemical and biological ensemble. All ensemble components have been integrated, tested and validated as a system. Any alternative component would require additional testing, which is not be within the program schedule. The ensemble components include: TATPE protective one-piece garment with integrated gloves and socks TATPE Pack Load Carriage RINI cooling vest system with battery and compressor Avon M53A1 protective mask Avon ST54 Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA); and Multi-Purpose Hydration System (MHPS that integrates with the M53A1, TATPE Pack Load Carriage, as well as all sizing tariffs (M53A1, cooling vest, one-piece garments).
