Environmental Conditioning Chambers This Sources Sought notice is being posted to satisfy the requirement of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement 206.302-1(d). The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD), Contracts Department, Code 02 intends to award a contract for the manufacturing of Environmental Conditioning Chambers on a sole source basis with Thermotron Industries (CAGE 1MEF0 ), 291 Kollen Park Drive, Holland, Michigan 49423. NAVSEA Warfare Center’s is facilitating commonality in processes, procedures, methodologies, equipment, and personnel. Facilities and equipment has been standardized by common procurements. Thermotron Industries does all its manufacturing and sells its products exclusively and maintains the propriety design and all data rights. THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 USC 2304(C)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals nor does it restrict the Government from an ultimate acquisition approach ; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Requests for solicitation will not receive a response. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any input as a result of this market survey. The U.S. Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey. No solicitation will be available for this procurement. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit or award a contract.
