Description:
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)/Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR)/Division of Strategic National Stockpile (DSNS) intends to negotiate a limited sources acquisition for contractor support in management, storage, repair, transportation, and maintenance of Medical device systems under authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This service includes providing all capabilities, such as, but not limited to, expertise, record management, labor, material, equipment, properly licensed and secure facilities to meet all of the current Federal, State, and Local regulatory compliance meeting stringent security, temperature control to maintain medical equipment maintenance and repair services to the DSNS cache of 167,574 ventilators, ventilator kits, and supplies in 36,110 pallet positions, and 164,950 PAPRs in 2504 pallet positions. The vendor shall provide comprehensive Ventilator Management and Maintenance for a period of performance of 6 months from the date of award. The Government intends to solicit, negotiate and award to only one contractor pursuant to FAR Subpart 6.302-1. A determination not to compete this requirement is based on market research and is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation is available and telephone requests for information will not be honored. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. The mission of the HHS Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) is to save lives and protect Americans from 21st Century health security threats. ASPR leads the nation’s medical and public health preparedness for, response to, and recovery from disasters and public health emergencies. ASPR collaborates with hospitals, healthcare coalitions, biotech firms, community members, state, local, tribe, and territorial governments and other partners across the country to improve readiness and response capabilities. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government shall consider all responses received within five (5) days of this posting. All interested responsible sources may submit a quotation/response emailed to Contracting Officer, Lawrence McCoy, gwg8@cdc.gov on or before A determination by ASPR/DSNS not to compete this proposed contract, November 10, 2021 by 5:00pm (EST). based upon responses to this notification, is solely within the discretion of the government.
