Description:
NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE The Government intends to issue a sole source, firm-fixed price purchase order with Herber Aircraft Services, Inc, 1401 East Franklin Ave El Segundo, CA 90245-4307, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The government will acquire the services using the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code for this requirement is 811310 with a size standard $8.0M. The purpose of this requirement is to provide inspection of tooling inventory, review operator manual, review maintenance procedures, evaluate swage processes, troubleshoot 4777-PLC-1 machine, repair (if needed) 4777-PLC-1 machine and train members of the Aircraft Structural Maintenance Shop personnel on how to properly use the 4777-PLC-1 machine. This notice is not a formal solicitation. This is not considered a Request for Quotation (RFQ). No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No purchase order will be awarded on the basis of quotation or offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear, compelling, and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, the purchase order will be awarded without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information related to the potential availability of other sources that can fulfill this requirement must be received by 1st Lt Ryan E.
