Original Set Aside:

RRAD has a one-time requirement for 6 EA F4L912 diesel engines in support of the air compressor system. This solicitation and negotiations is to be conducted with Deutz Corporation the OEM as the only company currently capable of providing a fully compatible engine for RRAD compressor systems. The impending award has an approved Justification and Approval for Other than Full and Open Competition. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(l), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The solicitation is prepared on a Standard Form (SF) 1449, and it can be made available upon request. There is no Technical Data Package included with this solicitation. Any capability statement may be submitted for future procurements. Inquiries and any submissions may be sent to the POC's notated in this Opportunity.
