The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is offering for sale one (1) item. Item 1 of timber is on approximately 70.50 acres named the Spooked Farm Timber Sale. Item one (1) of this sale is located near the Weaver Falls Boat Launch, Raystown Lake Project in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. The sale area is 70.50 acres and is being managed as follows: Block 1 - 70.50 acres. The primary sawtimber species composition of designated timber consists of red oak, black oak, sugar maple, chestnut oak, yellow poplar, and white oak. Previously used haul roads, log landings and skid trails exist therefore site impacts with respect to new construction will be minimal. Whole tree chipping IS NOT permitted for Block 1, treetops must remain on site. An Erosion and Sedimentation Plan and Accident Prevention Plan shall be completed and approved by the Corps prior to the start of timber harvesting including First Aid/CPR certificates for all workers on site. In addition, Proof of Pennsylvania SFI® Professional Timber Harvester Training Program certification shall be provided prior to the start of timber harvesting. HARDWOOD SAWTIMBER: 556,603 BF (1/4") International HARDWOOD PULPWOOD: 1,469 Tons of pulpwood on approximately 70.50. The timber to be sold may be inspected by prospective purchasers as the access gate to this area is locked open for public use therefore prospective bidders are welcome to access the timber sale area at any time. Sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. Thursday November 18, 2021, by the Acquisition, Management, and Disposal Section, Real Estate Office, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, 803 Front Street, Norfolk, Virginia 23510-1011, and then publicly opened. Forms for use in submitting bids are attached to this post you will find and Invitation For Bid pdf file.
