N0016422SNB12 – REQUEST FOR INFORMATION(RFI)/SOURCES SOUGHT – TR-343 Transducer Transformers – PSC 5950 – NAICS 334416 Issue Date: 10 November 2021 - Closing Date: 24 November 2021 RFI/SOURCES SOUGHT: In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.201(e), the Government is issuing this RFI/Sources Sought announcement as part of market research. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC-CR) is seeking information for market research purposes to acquire TR-343 Transducer Transformers. The Government has a requirement for the fabrication, assembly, inspection, test and delivery of TR-343 Transducers Transformers and is accepting information regarding capabilities from companies potentially capable of meeting the requirements as described above. BACKGROUND: NSWC-CR has been tasked with procuring TR-343 Transducer Transformers. These transformers are used in the TR-343 Transducers, as part of the AN/SQS-53C Hull Mounted Sonar Array Subsystem, AN/SQQ-89(V) Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) System. The AN/SQQ-89(V) is a fully integrated Surface Ship Undersea Warfare (USW) combat system with the capability to search, detect, classify, localize and attack submarine targets. The Transformer serves as an imperative component of the TR-343 Transducer in its purpose of supplying the appropriate step-up potential (5.1 - 5.6 Volts) in order to effectively transmit sonar and properly tune the ceramic stack assembly (CSA). REQUESTED INFORMATION: Interested parties are requested to provide the information that identifies its capability to provide the fabrication, assembly, inspection, test and delivery of TR-343 Transducer Transformers described herein. Please provide information of performance on other Government contracts with similar efforts as applicable.
