The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to award a single source contract to BeauTech Power Systems (Dallas, TX) for the purchase of CF34 engines. Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures. The FAA intends to purchase two General Electric CF34-3A1 jet engines to support engine exchange program for regular overhauls. The OEM no longer supports the CF34-3A1 engines. The proposed NAICs code for this acquisition is 336412, Aircraft Engine and Engine Parts Manufacturing, with a size standard of 1,500 employees. This announcement is for informational purposes only, not a Solicitation/Request for Proposal. A competitive solicitation is not available for this procurement.
