Description:
(FAR 12.603(b)(i)): This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 6923G522QPEST is issued as a request for quotation. This is small business set aside and the principal NAICS is 561710 and has a small business size of $12.0 Million. Provide exterminating services for rodents, mice, rats, spiders, ants, wood infesting organisms, etc. at the Great Lakes St. Lawrence Seaway Development locations. Services to be provided monthly unless indicated otherwise in the attached SOW. Contractor must report on-site for services in Massena, NY 13662. This contract will consist of a base period and four option periods. The Base period will be from December 27, 2021 to December 26, 2022. This award will include four 12-month additional option periods from December 27, 2022 to December 26, 2026. The GLS may require continued performance of any services within the limits and at the rates specified in the contract for a period of six (6) months beyond the ultimate completion date of the contract. The GLS intends to award a firm fixed price contract, in accordance with FAR 15.101-2, Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) source selection process. Best value is expected to result from selection of the technically acceptable quote with the lowest evaluated price. Technical acceptability is comprised of meeting the requirements as outlined in the schedule/statement of work, adherence to the delivery schedule in the solicitation, and acceptable or neutral past performance. Award will be made based on the lowest evaluated price of quotes meeting the Technical Acceptability for non-cost factors. These rates may be adjusted only as a result of revisions to prevailing labor rates provided by the Secretary of Labor. The option provision may be exercised more than once, but the total extension of performance hereunder shall not exceed 6 months. The Contracting Officer may exercise the option by written notice to the Contractor within five (5) days before the contract expires. (End of clause) 5. 52.217-9 OPTION TO EXTEND THE TERMS OF THE CONTRACT (MAR 2000) (a) The Government may extend the term of this contract by written notice to the Contractor within 5 days; provided that the Government gives the Contractor a preliminary written notice of its intent to extend at least 10 days before the contract expires. The preliminary notice does not commit the Government to an extension. (b) If the Government exercises this option, the extended contract shall be considered to include this option clause. (c) The total duration of this contract, including the exercise of any options under this clause, shall not exceed 66 months.
