Original Set Aside:

Statement of Work Bed Bug Oven Topeka VA Medical Center Bed bug treatment oven to kill 100% of bed bugs in all life stages, including eggs, nymphs and adults: Inside self-contained heating cabinet needs to be at least 70"H x 34"W x 22"D. Unit shall be mounted on casters. Allow the preprogramming of digital controller with a low temperature (120 degrees) and high temperature (150 degrees) cut off limits and a set point of 130 degrees. Bed Bug Oven needs to be designed to kill bedbugs using a heat treatment cycle of 130°F ± 5°F for a period of 30 minutes. Oven will need to be designed for a single phase, 120/24OVAC, 20A power feed. One 240 VAC, 1700W resistive heater is protected by a two pole 10A circuit breaker and two safety thermal switches wired in series. The temperature of the oven needs to be controlled by a temperature controller in the PLC with a preset temperature set point of 130°F and uses ON/OFF control to reach and maintain the set point. The feedback transducer to the controller needs to be a Type K thermocouple. The temperature controller needs to be controlled by the airflow temperature of the oven and set to a maximum temperature of 170°F. The fan and control electronics need to be powered by 120 VAC through a 1A and 2A circuit breaker, respectively. The fan needs to be configured to remain on after the cycle is complete and turn off when the door is opened, or the "STOP/RESET" pushbutton is pressed. The cycle timing of the heat treatment cycle needs to be initiated when the probe temperature of the items being treated reaches and maintains 130°F. When the heat treatment cycle is complete the resistive heaters need to shut off and have a completion indicator. A spare parts package to consist of 1 each: heater element, thermocouple, over-temperature switch, solid state relay and fan unit.
