The work under this project consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and material to perform the work. In general, work under this contract will consist of, but will not necessarily be limited to, the following: 1. Demolition and removal of the existing wharf. 2. Retrieval of anchor blocks and chains, using divers. 3. Construction of a new crib finger pier wharf on a rock mattress. 4. Supply and installation of structural timber for cribwork, wheelguard, wheelguard blocking, coping, ladders, fenders and associated hardware. 5. Supply and installation of rip rap in the area of the wharf to be demolished. 6. Supply and installation of mooring cleats. 7. New electrical systems (poles, pedestals, service). 8. Rubble mound breakwater extension. Bidders must refer to R2710T GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS - CONSTRUCTION SERVICES - BID SECURITY REQUIREMENTS (GI) (2021-04-01) for the Integrity Provisions applicable to this requirement. FAMILIARIZATION WITH SITE Prior to submitting a bid, it is recommended bidders visit the site to review existing conditions and determine materials needed, the means of access and the temporary facilities required to perform the Work. Obtain prior permission from the Departmental Representative before carrying out site inspection. Any omissions from contractor bid as a result of not performing site visit shall not be considered valid for additions to contract amount.
