Trade Agreement: Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: MV Madeleine II Heat Trace Installation T2012-210151/A Public Works and Government Services Canada, on behalf of Transport Canada, requires the installation of an electrically sourced heat trace system for freeze protection of the exposed fire mains throughout the vehicle Decks and on the exposed piping at fire stations on the external areas of the upper Decks onboard MV Madeleine II. This requirement is solely for the installation of the specialized equipment. The details of the work are contained in the installation specification within the Statement of Work in Annex A. Work Location: 70 Chem. du Débarcadère, Cap-aux-Meules, QC G4T 1S7 Project Dates: The work is to be carried out from 13 December 2021 to 11 February 2022. Site Viewing and Bidders Conference: There will be an optional site visit for interested Bidders. Arrangements have been made for the site visit to be held on board MV Madeleine II 17 November 2021, beginning at 0900 local time at 70 Chem. du Débarcadère, Cap-aux-Meules, QC G4T 1S7. Bidders must communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than 12 November 2021 to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders must also complete and submit the following certification. This site visit is subject to the COVID-19 Vaccination Policy for Supplier Personnel. The person(s) who attend must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a Health Canada-approved COVID-19 vaccine(s), or, for personnel that are unable to be vaccinated due to a certified medical contraindication, religion or other prohibited grounds of discrimination under the Canadian Human Rights Act,, subject to accommodation and mitigation measures that have been presented to and approved by Canada. A bidders' conference will be held via teleconference on November 19th, 2021. The conference will begin at 1:00 PM AST. Bidders must register with the Contracting Authority for the teleconference in order to receive the teleconference details. There is no security requirement applicable to this Contract. This requirement is subject to the provisions of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA). Trade agreement Exemptions: The requirement is exempt from the provisions of the Comprehensive Economic Trade Agreement (CETA), as per Annex 15A, Section e, Note 1c.
