Trade Agreement: Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirements: F6140-210731/A Walsh, Heather Telephone No. - (709) 631-1853 Fax No. - (709) 772-4603 Heather.Walsh@pwgsc-tpsgc.gc.ca Wharf Reconstruction, Port de Grave, NL Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC), on behalf of Department of Fisheries and Oceans Small Craft Harbour (DFO-SCH), has a requirement that consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and material for Wharf Reconstruction, in Port de Grave, NL. Note that the Contractor must incorporate COVID-19 standardized protocols in their site specific Health and Safety Plan. In general, the work under this contract consists of, but will not necessarily be limited to, the following: 1. Complete removal and disposal of the existing marginal wharf. 2.Removal of existing asphalt and any other uplands features as required to facilitate new wharf work. 3. Removal of existing asphalt to facilitate new waterline trenches, electrical trenches, electrical shed, and relocation of the waste oil tanks. 4. Construction of a new treated timber crib marginal wharf with reinforced concrete deck and slab-on-grade. Cribs may have to be scribed to bedrock and/or placed on rock mattress. 5. Installation of rock scour protection along perimeter of new wharf. 6. Cribseat excavation, including rock removal if required, to facilitate placement of new marginal wharf, and rock mattress where required. 7. Harbour dredging of existing seabed, including rock removal, if required. 8. Installation of new rock fill, granular material, and asphalt. 9. Installation of new light poles and protection bollards. 10. Installation of new catch basins complete with storm sewer piping. 11. Relocation of existing waste oil tank, bollards, and signs to a new concrete pad. 12. Electrical site upgrades including a new shed and associated site work. Contractors, bidders or those they invite to site should refer to Section 01 10 10, Item 1.5 Familiarization with Site of specifications before performing any site inspection or preliminary work on site. Contractors, bidders, or those they invite to site are to review specification Section 01 35 29 - Health and Safety Requirements before visiting site. Take all appropriate safety measures for any visit to site, either before or after acceptance of bid.
