Inmate Paid Television Service This requirement is for: The Correctional Service of Canada, Prairie Region, Bowden Institution. Trade agreement: This procurement is not subject to any trade agreement. Tendering procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid. Competitive Procurement Strategy: lowest priced compliant bid, Set-aside under the Procurement Strategy for Indigenous Business: This procurement is not subject to any set-asides for Indigenous Suppliers. Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: This procurement is not subject to a Comprehensive Land Claims Agreement. Security Requirements: This contract does not include security requirements. Nature of Requirements: The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement. The Correctional Service Canada has a requirement for Offender Paid Television Services at Bowden Institution. Objectives: To provide a viable and balanced 0 dB signal for CATV signal or equivalent throughout the Institution to up to 596 outlets at Bowden Institution in the Prairie Region. Deliverables: Bowden Institution has 596 cable drops. CSC requires all drops to be active at all times. The television cable system feeds into a sub-station; from there it is split, amplified and fed via lines within the institution's manhole system to the various buildings. The signal is then amplified a second time to provide a viable, balanced 0dB signal to each of the institution's CATV outlets. All equipment the Contractor supplies must be serviced, maintained and remain the sole responsibility of the Contractor during the term of the contract. The respective CSC institutions will be responsible for the maintenance of all coaxial cable wiring connections throughout the institution, not the Contractor. The Contractor’s regular published installation or relocation charges, or both will apply including charges for additional outlets or relocation of the existing outlets when requested by the project authority. The Contractor must provide a channel package that includes a minimum choice of SIXTY channels. These sixty channels must include the basic channel package, plus a minimum of THREE movie channels, and TEN a la carte channels. Sexually explicit channels are prohibited, and the Contractor must not include them in the list of channels. Bidders must acknowledge and confirm they understand them will comply with this exclusion in their proposal.
